WWC Labor Day 15k Trail Race

This year’s WWC Labor Day race greeted us with warm and humid weather. Before I even reached the first mile marker, sweat was already streaming down my face.

It was one of those days where my legs were moving, but not at the pace I wanted. I felt like I was struggling, especially on the downhills. Instead of pushing myself, I found myself just trying to make it down the hills without incident.

One small victory was that I didn’t fall on the Academy trail this time. This trail has been my nemesis, and I’ve taken quite a few tumbles on it this year.
