Thermal Belt Trail - Forest City, NC

 Some friends of mine have been talking up the Thermal Belt Trail aka greenway in Forest City, so this past weekend, I headed over to check it out. 

The trail is about 13.68 one way and paved. Some areas are in the open, but lots of the trail are shaded. Like I said, this is more of greenway through an urban area. 

As I remember it, there are markers along the trail every half mile. 

As far as driving, from my house the drive is just over 60 minutes, so not much further than driving across Charlotte. 

There are numerous places to park. I picked the southern end since riding to the other end committed me to riding back.

Definitely, you should check it out.
