Craft Beer 1/2 Marathon 3.29.25

The last several weeks have been anything but slow and easy. I am making my attempt at starting to catch up right now.

Let's start with the Craft Beer 1/2 Marathon in south Charlotte.

This course ran over much the same greenway as the Charlotte 10 miler, but with some nice neighborhood hills tossed in to keep us all honest.

My splits were pretty even on the greenway, but they see-sawed in the neighborhoods. I do want to call out one thing. As started through the first 3 miles on city streets, they had us run this loop. Strangely, they had us crossing paths with the outgoing runners. I didn't understand why, but I hope this is something that take into account for next year's race.

I ran 1:25:50. I didn't think that I was in this kind of shape, so I was pretty happy when I saw the clock. This placed my 15th out of 1182 runners.

Overall, this was a solid race. A few changes are needed, but I would consider doing it again.
