Run to the River 5k
They billed this as a super-fast course. Yes, the course does a have a negative elevation gain and the last mile or so is prominently downhill, but you have to get there first, and you have to have something use.
Oh, did I say this, this course is point to point.
The race was quick to spread out. I found myself time trailing it over the last 2 miles. That's okay. Definitely, this is best way to run a quick time.
By the way, they said this run to the river, but I never saw the river. We ended on a greenway next to the road.
Long story, right.
I ran hard. I finished 3 overall in 19:21. This was the same time that I ran on the airport 5k in Gastonia. I guess that this just proves that I am a great downhill runner
